“LTL” stands for Less Than a Truckload, and is for freight that weighs less than 8,000 lbs and is not oversized. It is the least expensive and most common way to ship freight across the country.

Blanket Wrap
Blanket wrap services, also known as Van Move, is for the transportation of items that are packed with boxes or crates. Common for the transportation of furniture, these truck-drivers have to be extra careful with their loads.

Cargo Boat
The good thing about having to ship internationally is that almost everything can be shipped on a cargo boat. So if you live by an ocean, this is a particularly useful way to ship freight internationally!

Flatbed
A flatbed truck is often seen on today’s highways, and is used for carrying items such as machine parts or building materials.

Reefer
These refrigerated vans are used to transport freight that needs to be kept at a constant cool temperature, such as meats and beer.

Removable Goose Neck
Removable Goose Neck trailers, also known as RGN’s, are used to ship very large machinery such as tanks and drill rigs. They have almost no weight restrictions.

Drop or Step Deck
These trailers are used to carry freight that needs more height, such as backhoes and bobcats. They are up to 10 and 1/2 feet, and can hold up to 48,000 lbs.

Multi-Temperature
This type of freight shipment is really useful for companies shipping a combination of cold, dry, and frozen items. These trailers have removable walls inside them so that each individual compartment can have its own controlled temperature.
